There is no shortage of things for you to do and see in Paris. All attractions are worth the visit, but if you are on a time crunch there are four stops that you must make:
1. Paris Attraction: The Eiffel Tower
A trip to Paris just is not a trip to Paris without a visit to the Eiffel Tower! For many, looking up at this architectural wonder is enough, but did you know that you could easily spend an entire day inside? Yes, you can! Many unfamiliar with the Eiffel Tower are surprised to learn that inside are boutiques, souvenir shops, cafes, fine dining restaurants, historical displays, and much more. I remember my first time visiting I was flabbergasted by how many shops were inside.

As previously stated, you could easily spend a day at the Eiffel Tower. For a journey to the top, start your day early. The main elevators and stairs only arrive on the second floor. A separate elevator is needed for a ride to the top level. A trip to the top of the tower is highly recommended – you really do need to brave the cues I am sorry. I promise the squishing like sardines in the lifts is well rewarded with a panoramic display of Paris. It is also wheelchair accessible.
2. Paris Attraction: The Louvre
Throughout Paris and much of France, you will find many museums open to the general public. These museums are all worth visiting, as they each have their own unique appeal; however, a stop at the Louvre is recommended.
In fact, it calls for more than just a quick stop, but a day or at least an afternoon of exploring. Why? Because the Louvre, is home to an estimated 35,000 works of art. It is one of the most famous and visited art museums in the world.
When visiting the Louvre, you can view famous paintings and drawings from well-known artists, including Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. The museum is also home to Egyptian antiques, Islamic art, sculptures, and decorative arts. Independent and guided tours are available.
3. Paris Attraction: The Arc de Triomphe
Aside from the Louvre and the Eiffel tower, The Arc de Triomphe is one of Paris’s most popular and well-known attractions. It is one of the world’s largest triumphal arches, second largest to be exact. It is home to a small museum, the tomb of the unknown solider from World War I, and the eternal flame.
From street level, the Arc de Triomphe makes for amazing pictures, but you are encouraged to step inside. A 284-step climb will get you to top, where you will find a panoramic view of the city of Paris. With affordable admission rates and flexible hours, this Paris landmark is considered a must visit. I have a specific post about the ins and outs of visiting here
4. Paris Attraction: The Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris
The Cathedrale of Notre Dame de Paris is one of the world’s most well-known Roman Catholic churches. Although many of the paintings, sculptures, furniture pieces, and other displays inside have a religious theme, you can still enjoy a visit to this historical site regardless of your religion. In addition to guided and independent tours of the main building, you can also visit the Towers and the Crypt.
A view from the top of the Cathedrale of Notre Dame de Paris comes highly rated and recommended for Paris attractions, but only those of good health are encouraged to take the journey. There are no elevators, but 387 stairs. so make sure to wear some comfortable shoes.
There is no shortage of activities and attractions in and around the City of Paris. I would encourage you to visit as many sights as possible (without rushing!), but the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Louvre are top-rated for a reason
